Welcome to Veterans Assistance Program Online

My name is Tyler Derenberger, Founder and President of the Foundation for Veterans Assistance Program, Inc. (VAP)  I have established Veterans Assistance Program in honor of my father, Woodrow “Chubby” Baisden, who was  a three-tour of duty disabled Vietnam Veteran, and my brother, Troy E. Daniels, who is a National Guard soldier and Desert Storm era veteran. In addition, in honor of all veterans and active-duty personnel who have or are serving our great country.

The Foundation for Veterans Assistance Program is a non-profit organization with a mission to help veterans with emergency assistance. There are approximately 17,000 plus homeless veterans in most every state, most of who would benefit from the kinds of assistance the foundation can provide. The Foundation for Veterans Assistance Program is gives assistance veterans in many different ways; such as with food, shelter, utilities, fuel, and job placement. We also help with referrals for drug counseling, medical assistance, rehabilitation, etc.

We raise funds by setting up tables in front of local stores in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida to collect donations. At these tables, we have merchandise such as Military, Association, and Eagle Caps. Military and USA flags, knives, key chains, hat and label pins, etc. in lieu of donations.

We realize that there are many government agencies that are established to help veterans; however, most agencies require that the veteran be a resident of the county for at least ninety (90) to one-hundred twenty (120) days before they are eligible to receive assistance. This is where The Foundation for Veterans Assistance Program can step in and do our share to assist the veteran.

General donations are welcome, minimum donations are required for most items on our tables. Cash or checks are accepted. All available monies collected goes to assist veterans in need throughout the states listed above.
